The Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts welcomes the Princeton University community to its second annual public lecture series inviting former postdoctoral fellows to present their current research. Our next lecture for this academic year on Thursday, December 5 features Giovanna Ceserani, associate professor of classics at Stanford University. Giovanna Ceserani was a member of the 2000-2003 Society of Fellows’ cohort and a lecturer in the Department of Classics. In her talk she will discuss how digital approaches are changing our understanding of the history of travel – focusing specifically on the 18th-century Grand Tour, when tens of thousands of Northern Europeans traveled to Italy.
